We're off to the Asian Festival at the Institute of Texan Cultures. I'm ready for a bubble drink and an egg roll.

Mission Drive-In R.I.P.

The E-N is reporting that the final movie may have been shown at the Mission Drive-In. I remember many a summer night spent watching a movie sitting on the tailgate of a pickup truck there. I drove past the drive-in just a few weeks ago thinking we should go see a movie when it reopened. Too late, now. I hope Santikos reopens it. But it probably doesn't make good business sense to do it.

Rodeo Time in SA

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo has some hilarious new TV ads.

The new Rodeo spots are in the mold of the "This is Sportscenter" ad campaign that ESPN has been using since the mid 90s.

I laughed at them. I mean, seriously, someone ought to get shot for messing with a man's turkey leg. And the lady that plays "Cindy" is super cute, too.
