The SA-EN has an article about a report from the Center for Public Policy Priorities that discusses what a family has to earn in oder to meet basic needs.
Interesting stuff. I think the employer portion of the health insurance is an awfully big assumption. I get half my insurance paid for and from what I know from friends and family that's a rare thing my employer does. Their report assumes 100% employer paid health coverage. Either way, it's a sobering look into what it costs to live here.
